CANNON BEACH, OREGON – Haystack Gallery, celebrating its 33rd Anniversary this year, is having it's busiest April ever when it comes to exhibitions and events.
It
started out at the beginning of April with our focus on Wildlife Art and the "Return to the Beach" exhibition in
conjunction with the Cannon Beach Gallery Group. Haystack Gallery is
pleased to feature the wildlife prints of Lee Bogle, sculpture by Eric
Langeliers, Tim "Frogman" Cotterill, Mark & Eli
Hopkins, and original watercolors by Mike Smith and Beki
Killorin. The exhibition
is on display in the gallery until April 29.
Our
second big event that is still going on through the end of April is our Rie
Munoz exhibition of her old and rare work. Rie decided
at age 88 to retire from publishing any new work; she is still painting,
but only originals. For this special exhibition Haystack Gallery has
hundreds of Munoz's pieces in the gallery and available to order

To
finish the
month of April and start off May with a bang, there is
the Cannon Beach Gallery Group's 10th Annual Spring
Unveiling Art Festival,
April 30 -May 2. Again starting this year's feastival on Friday April 30 at 4pm, Haystack Gallery will unveil many new watercolor originals by renowned Pacific Northwest artist MikeSmith.
Saturday's activities
begin at 11am at Haystack with a steel sculpture demo outside under our
white awning by Oregon artist Eric Langeliers. Inside
the gallery we will have a painting demo by Canadian artist Huibert
VanDrimmelen.
Both artists will unveil some new work at 1:00pm in Haystack Gallery.
Our Artists reception will begin at 6pm.
To
round out the Art weekend, on Sunday at 10am we
will unveil several new watercolor prints by internationally renowned
English artist Sue
Howells and new collaborative artwork pieces by Oregon artists
Melinda Cowdery and Lynn Bishop.
