Debra Ulrich creates one of a kind, life-size portraiture ceramic wall hangings.

“For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by peoples' faces. As a child I stared at pictures of people in library books. One can get a feel for a person's plight by starring into their eyes and thus can know something about their spirit.

It is spirit that I try to capture in my sculptures. I suspect I am achieving this to some degree, when I watch people walk by one of my pieces, pause, then stare long into the eyes of it.”
